What's Upppp Wednesday

Not gonna lie, been in the shittiest of shitty moods as of late. Believe me, you don't want to hear about it. In order to brighten my mood and not bore you with shitty nonsense, let's have a little chit chat about some non-shitty nonsense.

I fell in love with Zara while I visited France this year and lately I've been seeing their amazing items all over fellow blogs so I finally decided to treat myself to a few items the other day. Can't wait to show pictures and review the items once I get them! Not going to lie, drunk online shopping is my new favorite pastime at night, ha. Everything seems so much more attractive and cheaper through rose colored glasses don't you agree?

Baby girl Rue also had her first puppy obedience class this week and to my slight surprise she was a stunner. We'll be attending puppy classes every week if my work schedule allows and then we will be joining the beginner obedience class in May after M's birthday. I'm really excited because a trained dog, is a happy dog. If you ever run into a dog that is misbehaved it is 98% the owner's responsibility (or fault) for their dog's behavior. Just like us, behavior is a learned experience so don't get mad at a poor pup if it's naughty.

Here is a photo of Rue all freagin excited at class..

If you haven't figured it out already, I work mostly night shifts so I like to indulge myself in a little Food Network during the day if I have time. Tonight I'm trying out Paula Deen's apple stuffed pork tenderloin recipe for my dad. I'd like to make it for M but I suppose Pops needs to eat too so I figured he can be the guinea pig. It looked really good on the show (then again what doesn't) and since I don't really enjoy pork loin I figured what the hell, let's give it a whirl.

I have a few novel reviews, traveling with pets, and Take Me Back to France posts coming soon! Stay tuned!

Weekly Round Up: Rue Edition

Happpppy Fridaayyyy!

Hello, hello, it's the best day of the week! I hope you all had a great week.

As of now, I am officially slacking in the workout routine department. My excuse is M being home. A terrible excuse I know. I'm going to start setting weekly goals which seem a little more manageable and will hopefully help keep me on track.

My job is going better than ever, I officially make more and work less at a bar/restaurant than I did at my 7:30-5 salaried job. Unbelievable, I know. Especially considering I work in a "small town" bar. It is making me feel content with the decision to quit my job and do something less stressful and more enjoyable though.

Baby Rouche is officially called Rue now. Rouche just wasn't sticking with me and it wasn't sticking with her either so she now responds and recognizes Rue. She is getting so big! Of course she is still ~10lbs but to me she has grown so much. Here are a few pictures to update you...

Poodle legs

One with nature

Clean pooch

Really upset about her bath

Then there is this kid who I kind of like who decided to come back to Minnesota for a bit...

So happy to have M home

:)

For my birthday I picked up some new lipstick by MAC called Girl About Town and I absolutely love it! I've been looking for a lipstick that makes a statement but is still flattering and I've absolutely fallen in love with it. I'll post pictures of me wearing it soon.

I don't have much else to share with you. Have a wonderful weekend!

If You Can't Handle the Heat, Stay Outta the Kitchen

Loves,
As of current bestie and I are continuing our workout challange and also indulging in a healthy diet including but not limited to a lean mean green smoothie, kale chips (why didn't anyone tell me cooking them makes the house smell like farts??), and a few other goodies. Ah, a nice long week of girl time before M is back in town, just what I needed. I'm really excited to post photos and recipes of all the great stuff we're whipping up. Oh yeah, I made crepes on Sunday and they were amaze-balls. Never thought they would be so easy but I'm really excited to make them for M when he gets home.

Tonight we're dying Easter eggs with her Granny; side track, it's friggin Easter on Saturday already?! I'm excited because Mandy's family has always been an extension of my family and vice versa so this extra Granny time will make me happy. We'll also be working out tonight and taking all of our dogs on a walk.

In other news, M is stranded in Malta because the French are being losers with some airline strike of sorts. Ridiculous. Among that a few other snafus (literal meaning: a badly confused or ridiculously muddled situation) this post from People I Want to Punch in the Throat makes me really happy. Reading about other people being pissed off and reading a bunch of f-bombs really calms my nerves.

One piece of GREAT news is that I'm finally getting things for M's birthday going. It's all a surprise and of course I can't tell you what it is quite yet because he occasionally checks in on the ole blog so you'll just have to wait but since last year's gift is one that I don't want to buy him to we have a place of our own, I want to go big this year and give something he deserves. He treats me to a lot of great things so I think it's time to pay it forward and show him some love, ya know?

One more great piece of news is that reservations for my birthday in less than 2 weeks are reserved and I'm ready to celebrate the day, I know 24 is no big deal but this is my first birthday in a few years that I'll be in MN and able to celebrate with my girlfriends...stoked!

Okay I'm out-y. Busy night of fun and games ahead. Have a great Monday!

Weekly Round Up: Happy Friday!

Hiiiiii lovers!! So sorry AGAIN, the crazy life I call mine never ceases to desist. I hope everyone else is getting just as excited as I am about this St. Patty's right around the corner; #1 because I'm alotta Irish and #2 because I will be working at an Irish bar in a mainly Irish populated city this year so I'm excited to watch everyone else act a fool while I make all the money, muahaha!

In other news, B. Rouche is doing great and really getting the hang of potty training. She is getting so big already it is so depressing! I'm not sure how I'll do with children growing so quickly if I can hardly handle my dog doing it. We are also varying our sleep routine; sometimes she sleeps with me, sometimes she sleeps in her kennel. Slowly but surely she is befriending her kennel, we are spending a lot of time in it when it gets close to bed time by her hanging out in it while I have my arm in there petting her and saying things like "good girl" and "good kennel". Seems to be working so it is nice to finally see some progress. She is also running at lightening speed up the stairs and is already due for her 12 week shots next week, how crazy! Gah, time is flying by.

Also, two good friends and I will begin a 90 day workout challenge starting Monday. I'm super excited about it and trying to figure out why we didn't do this before? I think it will be great that 2 others will be holding me accountable and vice versa, it will be great to push each other. I won't be posting too many details about the challenge until we're done, then I will be posting before and after photos, measurements, results, etc.

My goals for the 90 day challenge look something like this...

Honestly, I would kill to be able to confidently wear a thong bikini. Hopefully I can get close, fingers crossed.

In celebrity news, I CAN'T BELIEVE SNOOKI CAN REPRODUCE! Honestly, that girl should be one of the last people on Earth to have a child. YIKES

Look at this train wreck!
Yikes. Let's just hope Snooks cleans up that act of hers and pulls it together.

Secondly, anyone else see JSimp's naked prego Elle cover? I'm really 50/50 on this one because I do think pregnancy is beautiful and all that and I think I would like to do something similar but keep it to myself and throw it in a personal scrapbook. But on the other hand Mama Jess is just so big! I mean somebody needs to break her water because she looks like she is going to burst!

Does anyone else think that photoshopping of some sort was done here? Because why does she look so much bigger when she wears clothes?? I heard Jess has signed up to be a Jenny Craig spokeswoman to get rid of the baby weight which I'm excited about because you know she's gonna need help pullin that weight off and it will be cool to see how successful she is at it.

Last week I finally got my hair cut (it was going on 6 months, way too long I know!) and I asked my amazing stylist to recommend a restoring masque for my dry and damaged hair. This is what she suggested, I'm excited to do a review for it after I try it!

Also I've said it before but I am SO READY for M to be home. It is officially less than one month till he is back and I couldn't be more ready. Ready to have my partner, friend, confidant, voice of reason, love, shoulder, rock to be home and be by my side. So close! I'm so fed up with long distance that I don't even like to Skype that much anymore, I'm just annoyed with our current situation so I try not to acknowledge it and just keep counting down the days till he is home and we never have to do this again, woohoo!

Okay I think that's all I have for now. I'm going to post a couple videos of Rouche playing with Maggie at some point this weekend but otherwise don't expect much from me as I'll either be crazy busy working or dead tired from working.

Hope you all have a great weekend and a safe St. Patrick's!

Holy Smokes it's February

Readers, friends and family I'm so sorry for the lack of blogging for the last week or two. Lately I have been focusing a lot of my energy on my 2 different jobs and blog researching (a.k.a. finding and stalking others' fabulous blogs).

There has also been a lot going on in my personal life:

1. I am moving back home to live with my dad. It will do us both a lot of good in more ways than one and I shouldn't need to explain further (keep in mind this arrangement is temporary until the next hockey season).

2. My Grandma had life-threatening surgery this past week that had myself, mother, aunt, uncle, and a whole lot of other members of my family very tense and nervous that she would not make it. Alas, the woman has not fulfilled her purpose in life yet because she made it. She has been slowly getting better but there have been a few minor complications that will hopefully clear up quickly. We are all very happy and thankful that she made it through surgery safely.

3. There is another little surprise I have been working on over the last few weeks that I can't share just yet, but will post pictures and blogs about it ASAP the week of February 20th. Trust me, it's really friggin' exciting.

With all that said, I haven't come across too many things that I felt worthy to blog about which is another reason why my presence has been so scarce lately but I didn't want to leave my trusty friends hanging for too long.

Other than that? Nada. It's officially ~10 weeks until M returns to the states. And I am officially getting old enough where my birthday means practically nothing to me, example: M will return around my birthday and I am much more excited about his return than any party, cake, presents, etc. that my birthday has to offer. PS. 24 just doesn't seem that exciting.

I hope this pretty boring post finds you all happy and healthy in February!
