Has anyone else become addicted to the Living Socials deals in your area? In the last year I have purchased a handful of fun activities through their program and although I could probably do a little more research to actually see what kind of deal (or not) I'm receiving, I primarily use Living Social as a tool to try new things.
If you're in the Minneapolis area, this week Living Social is offering a Sushi Making and Sake Tasting Class which M and I actually did last summer. We both had a blast and it's a great idea for those who a) want to learn how to make sushi rolls b) sushi-beginners and c) those who don't like spending money on sake at the restaurant since you're a sake-beginner. I know they offer these deal in other cities so if you see one, I strongly suggest you do it. We had a blast and the class was with a ton of other couples so we all had a great time mingling and rolling. Here are our pictures from when we did this last summer:
PS. A great tip for making sushi at home: buy the rice pre-made from your grocery store. The consistency and texture of the rice is by far the trickiest part of creating perfect sushi; by eliminating that step you're that much more likely to have success.
