Met Gala Musings

If you're like me and have a guilty pleasure of reading celebrity gossip then you're fully aware that the Met gala was the other evening and everyone and their mom showed up to wow in some of the most beautiful gowns and most ridiculous fashion flops. 

Below are my faves with maybe a few notes here and there. You can't even pay me to post or write about the uggo's. Honestly, I can't believe some celebs PAY people to let them walk out of their homes in some of this shit. Ridic.

Am I the Only One?

Really, am I the only one who doesn't understand Jennifer Lopez's type?

And by type I mean, shorter than her, thinner than her, less famous than her and has less money then her.

I don't mean to be giving out a big dose of haterade but seriously. She always dates these scrawny ass men with no money.

For example:

REALLY J.LO? That's the best you can do?! I find that hard to believe. This new guy she's got is 25 and a back-up dancer. That last back-up dancer you married went really well didn't it? Oh wait that was two marriages ago. Gah. I just don't understand, she's such a babe! Maybe she likes to hold the power in the relationship and these are all guys who look like they'd bend over backwards and play submissive to this powerhouse woman.

Whatever. Just weird to me. Anyone else? Just weird.

Weekly Round Up: Happy Friday!

Hiiiiii lovers!! So sorry AGAIN, the crazy life I call mine never ceases to desist. I hope everyone else is getting just as excited as I am about this St. Patty's right around the corner; #1 because I'm alotta Irish and #2 because I will be working at an Irish bar in a mainly Irish populated city this year so I'm excited to watch everyone else act a fool while I make all the money, muahaha!

In other news, B. Rouche is doing great and really getting the hang of potty training. She is getting so big already it is so depressing! I'm not sure how I'll do with children growing so quickly if I can hardly handle my dog doing it. We are also varying our sleep routine; sometimes she sleeps with me, sometimes she sleeps in her kennel. Slowly but surely she is befriending her kennel, we are spending a lot of time in it when it gets close to bed time by her hanging out in it while I have my arm in there petting her and saying things like "good girl" and "good kennel". Seems to be working so it is nice to finally see some progress. She is also running at lightening speed up the stairs and is already due for her 12 week shots next week, how crazy! Gah, time is flying by.

Also, two good friends and I will begin a 90 day workout challenge starting Monday. I'm super excited about it and trying to figure out why we didn't do this before? I think it will be great that 2 others will be holding me accountable and vice versa, it will be great to push each other. I won't be posting too many details about the challenge until we're done, then I will be posting before and after photos, measurements, results, etc.

My goals for the 90 day challenge look something like this...

Honestly, I would kill to be able to confidently wear a thong bikini. Hopefully I can get close, fingers crossed. 

In celebrity news, I CAN'T BELIEVE SNOOKI CAN REPRODUCE! Honestly, that girl should be one of the last people on Earth to have a child. YIKES

Yikes. Let's just hope Snooks cleans up that act of hers and pulls it together.

Secondly, anyone else see JSimp's naked prego Elle cover? I'm really 50/50 on this one because I do think pregnancy is beautiful and all that and I think I would like to do something similar but keep it to myself and throw it in a personal scrapbook. But on the other hand Mama Jess is just so big! I mean somebody needs to break her water because she looks like she is going to burst!

Does anyone else think that photoshopping of some sort was done here? Because why does she look so much bigger when she wears clothes?? I heard Jess has signed up to be a Jenny Craig spokeswoman to get rid of the baby weight which I'm excited about because you know she's gonna need help pullin that weight off and it will be cool to see how successful she is at it.

Last week I finally got my hair cut (it was going on 6 months, way too long I know!) and I asked my amazing stylist to recommend a restoring masque for my dry and damaged hair. This is what she suggested, I'm excited to do a review for it after I try it!

Also I've said it before but I am SO READY for M to be home. It is officially less than one month till he is back and I couldn't be more ready. Ready to have my partner, friend, confidant, voice of reason, love, shoulder, rock to be home and be by my side. So close! I'm so fed up with long distance that I don't even like to Skype that much anymore, I'm just annoyed with our current situation so I try not to acknowledge it and just keep counting down the days till he is home and we never have to do this again, woohoo! 

Okay I think that's all I have for now. I'm going to post a couple videos of Rouche playing with Maggie at some point this weekend but otherwise don't expect much from me as I'll either be crazy busy working or dead tired from working.

Weekly Round-Up

I definitely need to start doing weekly recaps. Ever since I quit my "normal" job life has been easy breezy and very "unscheduled" which is really nice for me for a change. HOWEVER, with my irregular schedule between two jobs and everything going on in my family life recently, things are getting a little blurry.

Okay, first things first. I'm making a little move back home to live with Pops. He's a little lonely and let's get serious, I am too. I'll also be able to help take care of my grandmother once she gets home from her hospital stay which would help everyone out (Ma is a CPA so this isn't the ideal time for her to take off work).

Both of these things explains my absence from said blog lately, I'M SORRY! Things are just a little busy so once I get back on schedule I will be back to blogging like a maniac.

I'm also reading a new book, something light-hearted and love-y which is exactly what I need around Valentine's Day and this chilly MN weather. That being said, I will need to write a review on it and The Hunger Game series very soon. Like I said, so much to do!

I would also still like to blog in depth day by day or week by week my trip to France. Believe it or not, I haven't even finished uploading my photos to Facebook; has anyone else tried the new photo system? It sucks. Period. And takes FOREVER. Who has time?

Moving on. It's time for a little bit of celebrity gossip.

Really what's up with this?

A teeny tiny more gossip (seriously I'm sorry but since I'm aiming to not buy gossip mags I feel the need to report to everyone else what I see on People). 

It's official, Katy Perry and Russell Brand are officially divorced. I'm still really upset about this! What is my problem? I'm a hopeless romantic that's what's my problem. Bah, oh well. Wonder who she'll date next/end up marrying? At least they had dignity and didn't draw out the proceedings with arguments about money and property.

Oh yeah, I 'spose it was Super Bowl Sunday last weekend. Not going to lie, I wasn't paying much attention to the game but WAS paying attention to who was there. For instance, JSimps. She is lookin' a babe I tell ya. Although her boobs are much when shown, her face looks amazeballs since she's been pregnant; I for one can't wait to see what that baby looks like.

Next, I have such a HUGE surprise to announce in 2 weeks but I won't share until then. It doesn't have much to do with the blog but a lot to do with me. I'm very excited, to say the least. Stay tuned to find out!

Last night I made Ashley from Inspired by a Love Story's recipe for shrimp fried rice here, it was a huge success and so easy! I encourage you to try it, you will love it!

I'm beyond obsessed with these free printables from Cupcakes and Cashmere's post pre Vday. How adorable? I must get. Why can't I come up with these great ideas on my own?

Also, have you checked out Veronika's blog yet? I have become obsessed with checking her blog regularly because she's a savvy shopper with great taste and just plain adorable! I feel like if I were slightly taller and model like and brunette, we could be twinsters in an alternate universe. She's beautiful, loves sales, keeps her style classic and simply while always adding a twist or pop of color, and shows pictures of her pup once in a while. Sounds like perfection to me. If you haven't, check her out, I know you'll love her blog. PS. the next time I get my hair cut you can guarantee I will walk out of the salon with her exact cut, love it!

Next, check out girlfriend Sigourney's recipe for a cake cocktail. Seriously?!! I wouldn't bat an eyelash if I could drink my dessert AND get drunk! This cocktail sounds delicious, perhaps it would be perfect for an all girls Vday night celebration?! Is it embarrassing that for the last few paragraphs I had to multiple tab what I wanted to write about so I wouldn't forget?? When I find goodies I just love to share them with you so if it makes me nerdy, so be it. 

Can you believe it's Valentine's Day this week? Seriously where has the time gone? I feel so unprepared for this time of year but thankfully I don't need to have anything planned via M is in France. A nice Skype date over wine will suffice for both of us this year. 

Okay, I THINK that's it, for now. I'm turning back to my raspberry vino and Law & Order: SVU for the rest of the evening. Loving this Friday snuggled in bed!

Celebs Never Cease to Amaze Me

You gotta be friggin' kiddin' me.

Anyone else see this on US Weekly Magazine's website? Maybe I'm the only one to look at it since I gave up buying those trash gossip magazines at the grocery store but I gotta get my drama from somewhere. Tom Brady and Gisele's humble abode is finally ready for them to live in. NBD I'm sure in 10 years I'll have $20 mill to throw down on a piece of property too. NOT.

Did you see that pool? I feel like having a pool is great (of course I want one) but I also feel that you never use them as much as you think and they're ridiculously expensive so why do you need one THAT big? Maybe Gisele will be making a career change to Olympic swimmer because that pool is huge and I'm sure unnecessary. At least the woman has the decency to be eco-friendly because God knows if her home wasn't made of biodegradable products (or whatever they used) it would negatively affect her skin complexion.

By the way how can this palace only have 8 bedrooms? What in the hell do they do in there that there are only 8 bedrooms because from this picture the place looks ENORMOUS.

These folks have it rough. They're cute little kid Benjamin doesn't have a friggin' chance.

People's Choice Awards Gossip

With the People's Choice Awards on tonight I couldn't help myself but dish about the dresses, glam, and all that jazz.

First off, bravo to Miley Cyrus who has recently been walking around and talking like a trash bag. I'm going to give this girl a slow clap for pulling herself together. Doesn't she look fab? (The arm candy isn't a bad addition either)

Secondly, does anyone else have a small girl-crush on Julianne Hough? Fab dancer, fab body, fab hair. Cute personality to boot. Not sure about that whole Ryan Seacrest issue but she's definitely a keeper.

 Demi Lovato, cheers to you for cleaning up...whatever it is you needed cleaned up in rehab last year. This girl looks amazing and even tweets about how cool it is to stay sober, decent role model? Sounds like it. You go Glen Coco!

Sorry! But I just can't help myself!

For months Jessica Simpson has been under speculation that she's expecting a little bundle of joy with her fiance Eric Johnson. On Halloween Jessica finally confirmed the news after waltzing around the U.S. with a very noticeable bump, way to cover it up Jess.

I have been a little preoccupied with Jessica Simpson since her newlywed days with Nick Lachey. She has just always been so beautiful! Unfortunately Jessica has been dealing with weight issues since around the time her and Lachey parted ways. Honestly, I have always thought she is beautiful but really what is going on? Is this what age does to you? Or is she an emotional eater or what is the deal? Look at the below photos I've added to this post, how does someone add so much weight to their face? If that is her gain/lose zone than I'm really thankful that mine is my inner thighs.

Well anyways, I feel for the girl. When you're a woman your weight is never fun, especially when you're gaining and losing in the public eye. Not like I would know, but I have certainly seen how much press it gets a celebrity. I just have to share one more thing- the drink pictured below is my new absolute favorite. My best friend turned me on to it at Tiger Sushi in the Mall of America, now we always drink it with our favorite rolls and I was lucky enough to find a small 6 pack of it at the local Cub Foods. I have yet to run into it anywhere else but I'm sure Byerly's may have it. It's light, refreshing, and has just enough carbonation. You have to try it...delicious!
